9. Don’t Be A Smart Alec

You do not have to pretend you know everything. You are allowed to say “I don’t know” or “I am not sure”.

Sometimes hiring managers want to see how you respond in situations where you don’t know the correct answer. Are you going to admit you don’t know, and seek help from a co-worker or managers? Or are you going to pretend you do know the answer and make a mistake that could cost the company dearly.

It is also a good idea not to answer every question instantly. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts and give to a killer answer than to consistently deliver a mediocre response right out of the gate every time.

10. Sell Yourself

The best man for the job is usually the man who performs best at the interview.

You need to demonstrate why you are the best candidate for the position. This can be achieved if you are able to effectively and persuasively communicate that you have the ability to meet all the needs of the organisation relative to the position you want to fill.

As the interview comes to an end, express your sincere interest in the position and appreciation for the opportunity to interview.

Good luck!
