We would like to advise the following should you be travelling during the festive seasons especially to China.

Monitor your health closely for 2 weeks upon return to Singapore and seek medical attention promptly if you feel unwell, and also inform your doctor of your travel history.

If you have a fever or respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, runny nose), please wear a mask and call the clinic ahead of the visit.

Please adopt the following precautions at all times to reduce transmission of respiratory secretions:

• Avoid close contact with people suffering from acute respiratory infections.
• Wash your hands frequently especially after direct contact with ill people or their environment.
• Avoid contact with farm or wild animals and eating raw and undercooked meat.
• If you display symptoms of acute respiratory infection, put on surgical masks, and practise cough etiquette (maintain distance, cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, and wash hands).
• Avoid travel to Wuhan.
• In case of symptoms suggestive of respiratory illness, either during or after travel, wear a surgical mask, seek medical attention, and share your travel history with your health care provider.
• Influenza Vaccination: Vaccination to seasonal Influenza does NOT confer protection. However, it is advisable to get yourself vaccinated against Influenza if you will be travelling to exposed areas.

Given the evolving situation and ongoing investigations in China, you are advised to regularly check MOH’s website (www.moh.gov.sg) for updates. Travellers to China are also advised to stay vigilant, monitor developments and heed the advice of the local Chinese authorities while in China.
